I would rather not mention any specific paid survey websites and point fingers at them calling them a scam. I would rather put the websites into some general categories and classify the category as a scam or not.

The first type of paid survey website is the best and is the type of paid survey website that actually pays you to take paid surveys and is not a scam. These type of websites are usually connected to real companies. This type of paid survey site usually is larger and has a bigger member base and is free to join and sign up with. These websites are proven to pay and have good reputations with their current members. These are the type of paid survey sites that aren't a scam and that you want to be joining some examples of these are Global Test Market and Survey Savvy.

The second type of paid survey site is the kind that is not actually a paid survey website but one that provides you with a free list of paid survey sites. These websites are not scams since they don't take anything from you, but in my opinion they are not as good as the websites that actually pay you. These websites usually make you put in your email address and maybe your first name or something before giving you the list of paid survey websites. These websites may also be good to sign up with since they give you links to other paid survey websites. Some examples of these type of paid survey websites include Survey Payoff .

The third type of website is the paid survey site that wants you to pay for access to take paid surveys. Most often these paid survey sites don't actually pay you to take the surveys but instead provide you with links to websites that actually do. They usually charge a one time fee of up to thirty to forty dollars. After paying they give you a list of free paid surveys. If they give a good list and make it clear in their website that they don't actually pay you to take the surveys then I would not consider this type of paid survey site a scam, even though you could probably find several paid survey sites of your own for free. However if they try to misrepresent themselves or give you a list of paid survey sites that is outdated or filled with broken links then I would consider them a scam.
