There are several things to be aware of if you want to start filling out paid surveys for money. The first is that you only want to sign up with reputable companies. This means that you'll have to filter out the garbage and scams that fly up anytime you try to do a search for more information. For the most part you can just rely on your common sense to do the sorting, but you should know the basic parameters to ensure that you aren't swept up in their lies. It may seem easy, but you some of the scams are pretty convincing in the right light.

The first thing that you have to do is make sure that you don't fall for any of the paid survey clubs. I don't think I can actually call them scams. They are really just a waste of money. They will charge you for some links that you can get all on your own with a little elbow grease. They aren't technically lying but they are deceiving you about the survey environment. The actual survey providers would never expect for you to pay to work for them. It just doesn't make any sense. Did you pay for your job interview?

The other thing you have to watch out for is any sub-par survey offer. These are usually easy to spot since they look like those old pop-up ads that used to flood the Internet. These promise $100 gas cards for telling them your favorite flavor of ice cream. These are obviously false and usually just a cheap attempt to get your email address. These really fall under the realm of paid offers and not paid surveys, since it is possible to receive small sums for filling in a throw-away email address. That's another story though.

As you can see the scams should be pretty easy to spot. Just keep your brain plugged in while you're searching and you should be perfectly fine. You will never have to pay for a good survey site and a good survey site will never make you feel like you're inviting spam.

Survey Savvy and Global Test Market  are two paid survey companies that I can for sure say are not scams since they are both free and proven to pay
